info@nancyalonzoministries.com My dear friends, In September of 08, I received a note from a wonderful friend and great prophet of God, Dick Mills. It began with Isaiah 65:22 RSV “……my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands.” and Jeremiah 31:14 “My people shall be satisfied with my goodness.” As I thought about how this year started these scriptures came to mind. As soon as the holidays ended and all the family went home I begun to prepare for Uganda. Mosquito net and spray are always a priority, Malaria pills a must. A good flash light for black outs that are a usual occurrence and a battery operated fan because there is absolutely no air conditioning. As I packed I thought, “God is so good to be taking me back to Uganda.” The people, the children and our precious missionary, Aurora Castillo, as well as myself and Winniefer Ferrell were all anticipating great things and as a result non of us were disappointed. After around 25 hours of travel we arrived in Entebbe, Uganda at 9pm on the 14th of January. Our luggage was loaded into 2 vehicles and we started for Kampala. About 4 hour later I was crawling into bed. The next day we went shopping for Aurora’s fridge and stove. Compared to US standards they are very small but due to space and black outs, there just right for Aurora. I believe there will be enough money left to buy a washing machine or a TV. Friday night we hosted 20 young adults with a meal and ministry. Of course the lights went out so candles were lit. It did not matter, God had a plan. The ministry time was fantastic. The next day we were off to the bush of Mityana, Bujayo. We water Baptized 12 and dedicated 15 children. During the service 4 men and women gave there hearts to the Lord. Sunday’s service we were back in Kampala at another one of Aurora’s churches, 25 people were Baptized in the Holy Spirit and we had 1 Salvation. Monday we went to Bugiri, Busuma, another bush village. We stayed there till the following Monday. In that time we had a Pastors Conference where the Joy of the Lord broke out. We also had a Women’s Conference where 50 received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and 3 women were healed. In addition to all these blessings we than had a Bible Class Graduation of about 1200 children. That day every child received a certificate of completion signed by Aurora and myself. In the bush the car broke down so we rode what they call Boda, Boda’s (small motor bikes) for 3 days. It was an exciting adventure. During the week a Moslem girl asked us for a ride. That was a God set up. Winniefer led her to the Lord. Everyday something exciting happened. We went to an open market on Lake Victoria. How often does that happen? Monday we went to another bush village, Busia, Buwunje and had a service that many of the local Pastors attended. This is where Aurora is building another school. Than Tuesday we were at a local pool in Kampala, Baptizing another 10 people. This trip was so good. God moved mightily. I just received this e-mail from Aurora.
